BOYCOTT ISRAEL PRODUCT
Boycott of Israeli Goods
Boycotting Israeli Product, particularly among those who share a common faith, can be seen as a deeply symbolic and empathetic act of support for the people of Gaza. Many Muslims around the world have expressed their solidarity with Gaza by participating in the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which advocates for the boycott of Israeli products. The Palestinian BDS National Committee (BNC) calls for a boycott of Israeli and international companies that are complicit in violations of Palestinian rights. Virtually all Israeli companies are complicit to some degree in Israel’s system of occupation and apartheid. We focus our boycotts on a small number of companies and products for maximum impact. We focus on companies that play a clear and direct role in Israel’s crimes and where we think we can have an impact.
REMEMBER YOUR GOD
Remembering and praying for our Palestinian brothers and sisters is a solemn and heartfelt duty for many people around the world. The struggles and challenges faced by the people of Palestine have been ongoing for decades, and it is a reminder of the importance of peace, justice, and compassion.
Understanding the Boycott
Supporters of this approach believe it can help raise awareness and support for the people of Gaza who have been living under difficult circumstances, particularly due to conflicts in the region. By boycotting Israeli products, they aim to draw attention to what they see as the suffering of the Gaza population and put pressure on Israel to ease restrictions or change its policies. On the other hand, opponents argue that such boycotts might not have a direct positive impact on Gaza and may inadvertently harm Israeli businesses, some of which employ Palestinians. The connection between boycotting Israeli goods and improving the situation in Gaza is a subject of ongoing debate, reflecting the complexity of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the broader geopolitical issues in the Middle East.
